MaryLou is a good example of how breathing always to one side can create an asymmetrical stroke. When her right arm is the lead arm she has a nice, long glide and leaves that arm out there until her left arm comes and gets it. However, when her left arm is the lead arm (which is when she breathes) it drops immediately, well before her right arm has come along. Instead of gliding nicely, she slows down and leads with her head. Her body rotation is good, and sinks a bit at her hips (probably worse without the wetsuit) but not terribly.
